Penn Director of Rare Book and Manuscript Library to Speak at Symposium

PHILADELPHIA – MAGPI, the University of Pennsylvania's Internet2 hub, will host the Advanced Networks and the Arts & Humanities Symposium on Thursday Feb. 2.  David McKnight, Penn‘s director of the Rare Book and Manuscript Library, will give a breakout presentation on the Schoenberg Database Manuscripts during the symposium.

Penn Launches Contest to Map City's Automated External Difibrillators

A team of Penn researchers led by Dr. Raina Merchant is launching a social media project to create a crowd-sourced map of the thousands of automated external difibrillators (AEDs) scattered throughout Philadelphia. The MyHeartMap project offers a $10,000 prize to the individual or team that reports, via a smartphone app, the largest number of AED locations.
