The University of Pennsylvania (“Penn”) and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania (“Wharton”) today announced the opening of the Penn Wharton China Center (“PWCC”) in Beijing, China. The Center is an important expansion of Penn’s engagement with China, which began in 1896 when the first Chinese student enrolled at Penn. It will operate through the University’s China based affiliate, Penn Wharton Consulting (Beijing) Co, LTD.

The University of Pennsylvania announced today that it has authorized a $206 million financial-aid budget for 2015-16 — the largest in the University’s history — while increasing total undergraduate charges by 3.9 percent.
From Harare, Zimbabwe, Rutendo Chigora is a senior double majoring in international relations and political science, and minoring in English. In December, she was awarded one of the two Rhodes Scholarships available to students from Zimbabwe. She will study at the University of Oxford in Oxford, England.
