Penn GSE, Departments of Education and Commerce Conference Set: Education Technology as an Export

PHILADELPHIA — The Graduate School of Education at the University of Pennsylvania has joined forces with the U.S. departments of Commerce and Education to organize the Exporting Education Technology Conference, May 16 at Penn.

The conference is designed to promote U.S. exports of education technology and to invite business leaders to offer their thoughts on how government can best assist these efforts.

Penn Nursing Signs Memorandum of Understanding With Peking University’s Nursing School

PHILADELPHIA -- The University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing and the School of Nursing at Peking University in Beijing have established a memorandum of understanding creating a formal research relationship between the schools. Peking University’s School of Nursing, with Guifang Guo as dean, is widely considered the premier nursing school in China.

Penn Nursing also has academic partnerships in Botswana and India.

Online Poetry Magazine Jacket Has New Home at Penn, Revamped as Jacket2

PHILADELPHIA – One of the world’s earliest online poetry and poetics magazines, Jacket, which ceased publication last year, now has a new home at the University of Pennsylvania and a new name, Jacket2. 

When Jacket was first published in 1997, the Guardian hailed “Jacket” as “the prince of online poetry magazines.”
