Yaga Venugopal Reddy to Give Annual Lecture of University of Pennsylvania Center for the Advanced Study of India

WHAT: “Regulating the Financial Sector: Indian Experience” as the Annual Lecture, part of the Nand and Jeet Khemka Distinguished Lecture Series

The lecture will cover India’s management of the financial sector, widely considered to be unorthodox but highly successful in achieving stabilty and growth as well as lowering inflation.


Dr. Reddy has been a member of the Commission of Experts of the President of the UN General Assembly on Reforms of the International Monetary and Financial System. In 2006, he was honored as one of the five original reformers of India. Dr. Reddy has authored several articles and published a number of books, including “India and the Global Financial Crisis: Managing Money and Finance.”
