WHAT: A live multicast of the "Live Earth" concert series, a global event featuring a 24-hour series of eight concerts that will bring together more than 100 music artists and 2 billion people in support of a global movement to solve the climate crisis.
WHO: The University of Pennsylvania's Division of Information Services and Computing MAGPI unit will provide the service, along with partners Internet2, Penn Video Network, Montgomery County Community College and Defenders of Wildlife.
WHERE: Institutions on MAGPI's regional network and advanced research and education networks around the world can view the "Live Earth" concerts via DVTS or MPEG2 Streaming Video. Information can be found at www.magpi.net/globalconcert.html.
WHEN: Multicast coverage of the concerts will continue from 4 a.m., Saturday, July 7, through 2 a.m., Sunday, July 8 (EDT).
