Penn’s Netter Center to Host Eats and Beats: Community Meal and Fundraiser

WHO:            The Netter Center for Community Partnerships’ Agatston Urban Nutrition Initiative engages, educates and empowers youth, university students and community members to promote healthy lifestyles and build a sustainable food system.

 

WHAT:          5th Annual Eats and Beats: Community Meal and Fundraiser.

The Eats and Beats event features a four-course, locally sourced, organic meal prepared by youth interns with ingredients donated from local restaurants and businesses.

The event, which also includes performances and a silent auction, is part of an ongoing fundraising effort to enable youth interns to participate in a national network of young leaders in food systems reform.

 

WHERE:        Mantua Haverford Community Center, 631 N. 39th St., Philadelphia

 

WHEN:          Saturday, March 29, 2014, 5:30-8:30 p.m.

 

DETAILS:     Registration is required. There is a minimum suggested donation to attend.
