Penn Institute for Urban Research to Host Panel on What Gaming Could Mean for Philadelphia

WHAT: A panel discussion titled "The Casinos Are Coming: What Gaming Will Mean for Philadelphia" will be held as part of a continuing Public Interest Series, sponsored by the Penn Institute for Urban Research at the University of Pennsylvania.

WHO: Panelists will be:

  • Bernard E. Anderson, professor at Penn's Wharton School and co-chair of the Philadelphia Gaming Advisory Task Force
  • Paul Levy, executive director of the Center City District and co-chair of the Philadelphia Gaming Advisory Task Force
  • Sandra Dungee Glenn, president of American Cities Foundation and co-chair of the Philadelphia Gaming Advisory Task Force (invited)
  • Moderator: Eugenie L. Birch, chair of the Department of City and Regional Planning of Penn School of Design and co-chair of Penn IUR.

This panel will address the recently released report by the Philadelphia Gaming Advisory Task Force on the social and economic impact gaming will have on Philadelphia.
