NAACP Leader to Deliver Annual Higginbotham Lecture Nov. 20 at Penn

Co-sponsored by the University of Pennsylvania’s Center for Africana Studies and Law School, this year’s speaker is Sherilynn Ifill, president and director-counsel of the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund. A leading civil rights scholar and lawyer, Ifill will address the current racial climate in America as a part of the ongoing civil rights agenda.

Penn Integrates Knowledge Professor Dorothy Roberts, who will introduce Ifill, said, “The audience can look forward to a provocative discussion that ties together the historic legacy of struggle for equal rights and the burning issues of racial justice that face our country today.”
