                 “Matters of Race: Brown, Ferguson and the Unfinished Civil Rights Agenda”

Co-sponsored by the University of Pennsylvania’s Center for Africana Studies and Law School, this year’s speaker is Sherilynn Ifill, president and director-counsel of the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund. A leading civil rights scholar and lawyer, Ifill will address the current racial climate in America as a part of the ongoing civil rights agenda.

Penn Integrates Knowledge Professor Dorothy Roberts, who will introduce Ifill, said, “The audience can look forward to a provocative discussion that ties together the historic legacy of struggle for equal rights and the burning issues of racial justice that face our country today.” 

The program is free and open to the public. Seating is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
