Gibson Named Vice President for Budget and Management Analysis at Penn

PHILADELPHIA -- Bonnie C. Gibson has been appointed vice president for budget and management analysis at the University of Pennsylvania.  Gibson had been serving as the acting executive director for that department since January 2003.

Gibson came to the University in 1987 as a business administrator in the School of Medicine and was later promoted to clinical department administrator.  In 1992, she became director of finance and administration for Penn's Division of Information Services and Computing.  In 1996, she joined the Provost's Office as executive director of administrative affairs, responsible for financial and human resources administration and providing financial oversight for the administrative and resource centers reporting to the provost.

Prior to joining Penn, Gibson was director of finance and administration for the Girl Scouts of Greater Philadelphia.  She holds a bachelor's degree from Muhlenberg College, a master's degree from New York University and an M.B.A. in management and organization from Temple University.
