Miss Pennsylvania to Perform at Penn Museum With Teen Members of Penn Summer Band Camp

Miss Pennsylvania, Katie Schreckengast, and members of the University of Pennsylvania Band’s Summer Music Camp for high school students


Miss Pennsylvania, Katie Schreckengast, will visit and play the alto saxophone with members of the Penn Band Summer Music Camp at a performance at the Penn Museum. Schreckengast, formerly a member of the Pennsylvania State University Blue Band, will play with 50 Penn Band Camp members, and will be featured playing in the piece “Misty.” Many of the teens participating in the week-long instrumental music program are from Philadelphia public schools. The audience will be 65 2nd through 8th graders, who are attending the Anthropologists in the Making summer camp at the Penn Museum.
