The effect of medication, especially diuretics, is increased if you’re not properly hydrated. So it’s important for elderly people, or anyone with chronic illness, to drink enough fluid to avoid inadvertent overdose. Signs of too much medicine in your body include confusion, rapid heartbeat, nausea, and dizziness.
