Evolution of Abolitionism
Women of Color at Penn and the Division for the Vice Provost of University Life present a reading and talk by historian Ena Lindner Swain, who penned the new book “The Evolution of Abolitionism in Germantown and its Environs,” which examines the lives of abolitionists in Germantown and southeastern Pennsylvania.” The reading is part of Penn's 2019 Martin Luther King Jr. Commemorative Symposium on Social Change.
